Our history from 1960 to today

Our company founds its roots in 1960 when the founder of the company was producing cardboard boxes as a production manager for a large paper converting company.

1960-1970

Our founder, Franco Micheletti, is hired as Assistant Production Manager for an important publishing house.

I971-1983

During these years he follows all the phases of production from the Design to the Production Planning obtaining the promotion to Head of Department

1983-1999

He was hired by Cartotecnica Milano Nuova as Display Department Manager.

1999

Together with other founding partners, Bilca is born.
In the same year are installed the first machines for the lamination and die cutting of the cardboard. 

2002-2004

The first numerical control machines for the sampling and gluing of the displays were installed, an NPC cutting plotter and the first computerized spray gluing plotter were added to the machine group.

2008

the cutting plotter for sampling is replaced with a more powerful Zund 1600 to meet the growing demand for samples.

2009

A second and a third hot gluing plotter with computerized control is purchased to speed up the production processes.

2012

An upgrade of the storage system with 126 Slot metal shelving is made to provide better support to logistics and raw material storage.

2016

Thanks to the purchase of a new generation UV digital printing plotter Bilca expands into new markets.
